Using the famous “British Racing Green” to spruce up the design, Breitling has released this new Bentley GMT Chronograph watch as the next step in the Swiss watch brand’s relationship with Bentley. The very popular partnership has produced a number of highly desired timepieces, and this watch should be no different. Green on watches is a mass trend for this and next year. The color of money? A soothing hue? Watch brand’s dedication to the environment? What ever the cause for green love, it is certainly a color that has not been seriously featured for a while.
As the Breitling for Bentley GMT Chronograph is a standard outgoing model, this special green version will be released as a limited edition only. It will be limited to 1000 pieces, and comes with a green rubber strap and a green cities ring for the GMT world time bezel. This world traveler watch is touted as “an international ambassador of the legendary British automobile tradition -” by Breitling.
Inside the watch is a Breitling Calibre 47B COSC Chronometer certified automatic movement. It has a 12 hour chronograph along with a special GMT hand complication. The mixture of steel green, black, and red make for an interesting, and sport looking. Some might say that the red isn’t necessary, but it does help functionality quite a bit by making those hands more legible, which in turn helps it be a true Breitling.
